Matthew Toye Devouring Star is just devastating. Sounds like a quartet at least but apparently it's just one badass dude too. Favorite track: To Traverse The Black Flame.
FallenAngel thumbnail
FallenAngel Bitter and harsh, not for the faint-of-heart.
Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica The easiest way to describe this album is as an unrelenting and oppressive Deathspell Omega-inspired black metal assault. Compositions are lengthy, fairly technical, dissonant and full of long blasting sections, all of which combine for a hypnotic listening experience. This is best listened together as a whole, as there are not really any stand out tracks. An incredible debut album; if Devouring Star adds a bit more variety to their compositions on their next outing, look out. Favorite track: Decayed Son of Earth.
Driftless thumbnail
Driftless Really hard to choose between this and To Traverse the Black Flame.

So I won't; both are amazing, and the whole album is some of the purest terrifying beauty I've had the pleasure of listening to. Favorite track: Through Lung And Heart.
